Surrey Dog Training Society, SDTS (the Society) stores basic essential information about its members, visitors, and 'Friends of SDTS' both as selected paper copies and in electronic format. This information may be held by the Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and members of the Committee. Contact information is not shared with any other organization and is used for collection of subscriptions, and sending information about the Society and the Society’s events, including updates and training information.
We may process and store your name, address, email address, telephone number, photographs, records of any awards or cups won, reservation and bookings for events that require bookings. We will hold records of payments made by you or made to you.
Some information such as training class participants, winners of Society events, and photographs from Society activities may be published on the website, on the Club's Facebook page or other Social Media platforms, in WhatsApp groups, and the local press. Some of this information may be viewable by the general public. Some Committee member details may also be published as contacts for Club activities with their personal approval.
Joining Surrey Dog Training Society or renewing membership will authorize the Society to retain your contact details for as long as you are a member. Names and email addresses of non-members and ex-members of the Society may also be stored for ongoing distribution of Club information and updates. You may at any time request that the Society deletes your contact details and no further communication will be made. Some information such as names and previously public information may be retained as part of the historical record of the Society.
Members and non-Members have the right to request access to, changes to, or erasure of personal data by contacting the Chairman or Secretary, and to complain to the UK’s data protection supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office, about the processing of personal data if you feel the Society have used it for a purpose not stated above, or against your wishes.
The Surrey Dog Training Society website is hosted by Google Sites and uses the Google Analytics tool to track overall browsing patterns on the website. For example, it helps to identify which links are being clicked on and whether a user has visited the site before. There is no personally identifiable information stored with any of these cookies.
